Fantastic Easter Candy Buffet
Easter is right around the corner and you may already be thinking of how to make this Easter even more exciting than the last. When thinking about Easter, you may automatically think of the Easter Bunny, Easter eggs and, of course, candy. So why not take all of those traditional Easter icons and turn them into a fantastic candy buffet! These tips and trick will help you make the perfect Easter candy buffet that everyone will enjoy.Jars and Holders When making a candy buffet, you want the focus to be on all the delicious candy, which means you want it to be very visible. Using clear jars to hold the candy ensures that it is openly on display, not hiding in a dark bowl. Pick jars that are all different sizes to hold the candy. Not only will various size jars be good to hold candy of all different shapes and sizes but they also add dimension to your candy buffet. Look for jars that are different heights as well. Tall and short, round and square, wide and narrow, different jars make for a unique and interesting buffet! Different types of holders will also make your buffet interesting (and practical!). A cupcake stand makes a great centerpiece and a cake pop holder will make sure your pretty pops are nicely on display. Variety is KeyA key to a great Easter candy buffet is having a good variety of candy. Make sure to have chocolate options as well as fruity options to please everyone’s palate. Look for different kinds of candies too from lollipops to chocolate bars to Easter colored gumballs. Depending on the size of your buffet, it is good to have at least 5 or more options. In addition to candies, consider making something that has a salty element as well. A pretty pretzel rod can be a great addition as it is salty and sweet, pleasing everyone’s taste buds! In addition, pretzels rods are visually appealing on your Easter buffet table, adding height and color. Our how to guide will show you how to make them and it is so easy!Highlight The Chocolate on your Easter BuffetEaster really is all about the chocolate. Luckily, there are plenty of great chocolate treats you can easily fit into your Easter theme. Chocolate cake pops and chocolate lollipops are fantastic choices for your Easter Buffet and both can easily be made using Easymelts and a few simple tricks (see our how to guide for details!). Cake pops can be made in any color and you can add sprinkles or small icing decorations to make them stand out. You can choose to display your cake pops using small cupcake liners as holders or stand them up with a cake pop stand. Cake pops add some height to your Easter buffet thanks to the long lollipop sticks! Chocolate lollipops are simple to make and look quite impressive. Paint an Easter themed lollipop mold with some colored Easymelts, pour in some melted chocolate, add a stick and you’re done! Package the chocolate lollipops to make it easy for your guests to take them to go.Make your Easter Candy ColorfulWhen choosing the candy you want to use for your Easter candy buffet, pick a wide variety of colors. Of course, you want the colors to be Easter themed! If you are using clear jars, the colors of the candy will really shine through and make the buffet pop. Look for a tablecloth to match the colors of the candy and also consider a few other Easter themed decorations for the table. A large chocolate Easter bunny, a few icing flowers or even just some colorful icing sugars sprinkled on the table would be perfect! You don’t need to go overboard on the decorations as the candy should be the focus.
Bag it UpIf you want to encourage people to take candy home, have a few decorative containers on the table as well. You can use cellophane bags, small boxes or even plastic Easter eggs your guests can fill. Easter themed cupcake liners work perfectly as ‘bowls’ to hold candy while at the party. Just as the containers to hold the candy are important, remember to provide ways for your guests to pick up the candy. Spoons are great for scooping small candy and tongs work well for the larger pieces. Plastic Easter colored utensils would be perfect. However, desserts with sticks, in paper liners or pre-wrapped can be easier for your guests, making utensils unnecessary!
Candy FavorsConsider having one very special Easter themed candy for your guests to take home. A beautifully packaged chocolate cross is a perfect gift and is something that would also look great on your buffet. You can make chocolate crosses, pretzels, cake pops and chocolate lollipops ahead of time, giving you time to enjoy Easter! The most important thing to remember when you are making an Easter themed candy buffet is to be creative. You want the buffet to be welcoming, lighthearted and full of Easter cheer! After all, candy should always be fun! Happy Easter!
