Silicone Mold - 12 mm Crystal Bead Maker

This crystal bead maker mould can be used with sugar paste and flower paste to make very attractive decorations for use on wedding and celebration cakes. The mould is easy to use, even for the beginner, giving you great scope in sugar craft in producing a continuous string of beads around your cake. High quality silicone rubber is used in producing the mould, making it very durable and flexible. De-moulding the finished item is easy. The overall size of the finished bead is 12mm across x160 mm long. Open the bead maker and hold with one hand. Dust thoroughly with cornflower (cornstarch) or pearl dust. Mix equal quantities of sugarpaste and flowerpaste (gumpaste) together. Roll a sausage of paste the length of the bead maker and a little larger then the bead diameter. Open the mould and place the paste into the centre. Close the filled bead maker pressing the mould edges towards the centre. Open bead maker slightly and check to make sure that all beads are filled. Press in more paste if necessary and reclose bead maker. Usinf a mini palette knife, trim off excess paste. Open bead-maker and carefully remove pearls from the mould. Brush some edible glue around the base of your cake and attach pearls around, joining them in sections as required. Size : 12 mm / .47"
